Urea Phosphate application
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) document "Non-protein nitrogen and nutrition of ruminants" clarifies that urea phosphate can be used as a feed additive for ruminants, and China has taken urea phosphate as a key development and promotion project of the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" in order to promote the application of urea phosphate.
Urea phosphate is an excellent non-protein nitrogen and nutritional element phosphorus important feed additive, can provide livestock (especially ruminants) with phosphorus and non-protein nitrogen (urea nitrogen) two nutrients, dedicated to cattle and sheep ruminant herbivorous livestock nutritional addition, the feeding of dairy animals, meat animals and young animals, ruminants milk, weight gain, hair increase have a significant effect, compared with urea and other non-protein nitrogen additives have many advantages, its mechanism of action and advantages are:
(1) The direct effect of phosphorus in urea phosphate, the addition of urea phosphate directly increases the content of available phosphorus in the diet, and then acts on the rumen and the body;
(2) The release rate of ammonia in urea phosphate is lower than that of urea, and the release rate of ammonia in the rumen is slow, which can not only make good use of non-protein nitrogen, avoid waste, but also overcome ammonia poisoning caused by fast release speed. Due to the presence of phosphoric acid in urea phosphate, it can cause an acidic environment, and after feeding ruminants, the excess ammonia in the blood and rumen can be neutralized by phosphoric acid, slowing down the release and transmission rate of rumen ammonia, thereby avoiding ammonia poisoning in ruminants and also conducive to the synthesis of microbial proteins;
(3) The nitrogen and phosphorus in urea phosphate are easily absorbed and utilized by animals, and phosphorus and nitrogen elements cooperate with each other, so that the effective utilization rate of the two elements is improved;
(4) Urea phosphate can increase the content of acetic acid, propionic acid and dehydrogenase activity of ruminant rumen, promote the physiological metabolism of cattle and sheep and the absorption and effect of nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium, strengthen the absorption of calcium by the animal body, and improve the quality of milk. For example, feeding lactating cows with urea phosphate can supplement the insufficient phosphorus and some protein in the feed, help increase milk production and reduce feed consumption, and also have a good effect on mineral metabolism. For example, feeding cows with urea phosphate accounting for 1.4% of concentrate can increase milk production by more than 15% and gain weight by 5%-10%, and the test shows that each kilogram of urea phosphate can increase cow production of fresh milk by about 10kg.
Urea phosphate is an excellent nitrogen, phosphorus additive and acid, preservative and preservation agent for green storage feed, which can increase the nitrogen and phosphorus content in green storage feed, reduce nutrient loss, effectively preserve feed, improve the carotene retention rate in green storage feed, the effect is better than urea, and the feed is light in acidity, yellow and green color, and clear leaf stem veins.
Urea phosphate has a good antiseptic effect on silage, is a good preservative for fruits and vegetables and silage for forage feed, and the silage preservation effect is excellent.
