MDCP-MONO DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE FEED SUPPLEMENT
Monodicalcium phosphate (MDCP) is a feed additive that is a co-crystallized compound of monocalcium phosphate (MCP) and dicalcium phosphate (DCP). It contains water-soluble phosphorus (P) and citric acid soluble P, making it a source of highly available phosphorus and calcium (Ca) that can help meet animal ,such as cattle and poultry requirements for these essential nutrients.
MDCP is not only suitable for poultry feed but also aquatic feed. It is especially beneficial for young livestock and poultry to supplement phosphorus and calcium. MDCP is slightly acidic, which can improve the taste of the feed and increase animal food intake. It has a higher biological value than DCP due to its good solubility in water and acid.
The granule form of MDCP has good fluidity, making it easy to mix with other raw materials. Moreover, the granule has a longer residence time in the animal’s stomach, which is conducive to the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. This also aids in environmental protection by reducing the phosphorus pollution caused by animals.
Phosphorus is a crucial nutrient for bone formation, energy metabolism, and many other physiological processes in animals. Calcium, on the other hand, is necessary for bone and teeth development, muscle function, and nerve transmission.
Strengthens the skeleton: MDCP helps in strengthening the skeleton of the animals.
Accelerates growth: It accelerates the animal's growth.
Improves functions of animal organism: It improves metabolism, and function of nervous, immune and reproductive systems, increasing its productivity.
By including MDCP in feed additives, animal nutritionists and producers can ensure that the animals receive adequate levels of these essential minerals in their diet, promoting overall health, growth, and productivity.
